Polyurethane Floor Coatings

Polyurethane flooring goes onto concrete and steel alike. It cleans easily, does not yellow, resists abrasion well and protects what is underneath it — and where extreme chemical and mechanical resistance is not the priority, it is the economical answer. It is laid as a single seamless layer, with no joints and nothing added on site, and is used mainly in sports halls and on industrial floors.

Suitable indoors and out, the system stands up to sunlight and does not crack or dry out and break down.

Against sea water, weather and UV, polyurethane is hard to beat. It lasts — from coating concrete and metal floors through to waterproofing a terrace. Its resistance to corrosive chemicals such as acids and alkalis has been tested.

Like epoxy, polyurethane can be laid over concrete, screed or ceramic tiling. In both cases, a substrate that is not sound has to be strengthened first. It goes down fast and protects the area against leaks, wear and corrosion.
