An epoxy floor coating is a pore-free, seamless system: epoxy resin and hardener mixed in a fixed ratio and applied to a concrete surface. It sets through a chemical reaction, and once cured it is considerably harder than the concrete underneath — abrasion-resistant, chemical-resistant and dust-free. It is the most widely used industrial flooring solution in factories, warehouses, car parks, food plants, hospitals and workshops.
There is no single “epoxy”. Five systems exist, separated by thickness, filler and application technique, and the right one depends on the loads the floor will carry. HBK has installed all five across Gaziantep, Kilis, Kahramanmaraş, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Hatay and Adana since 2015, and we decide which one a floor needs by surveying it — free of charge.
What separates the five systems is thickness and filler. What decides between them is the load the floor has to take.

Gives a dust-free, easily cleaned surface that copes with machine vibration, chemical spillage and constant foot traffic.
Nothing wears a floor like forklift wheels. A mortar or multilayer system is installed here, together with forklift aisle markings.
Seamless self-levelling epoxy or polyurethane concrete: both survive hot-water and organic-acid washdown and harbour no bacteria.
Slip-resistant multilayer surface plus bay marking. In open-air car parks we recommend polyurethane instead, because of UV.
Pore-free, disinfectable hygienic flooring with coved skirtings.
Resistant to oil and chemicals, with a bright, clean-looking finish.
Concrete strength, moisture content and cracking are measured on site. Above 4% moisture the coating will blister — which is why this step is never skipped.
The weak surface layer is taken off with diamond tooling and the concrete is opened up. Eighty per cent of the final adhesion is decided here.
Cracks are closed with epoxy resin and hollows with epoxy mortar; movement joints are filled with a flexible sealant.
A low-viscosity primer soaks into the pores of the slab, preventing pinholes and voids under the finished coating.
Laid by trowel, roller or squeegee depending on the system and thickness; on a self-levelling coat, a spiked roller releases trapped air.
Open to foot traffic after 24 hours and to full load after 7 days. Maintenance instructions and the warranty certificate are handed over on completion.

Epoxy floor coating is a seamless, non-porous system formed by mixing epoxy resin with a hardener and applying it to a concrete slab. Once cured it gives a surface far harder than the concrete beneath it: resistant to abrasion and chemicals, and free of dusting.
There is no single figure. The price follows the area, the system and film thickness chosen, the condition of the existing slab and the surface preparation it needs. A coating system is the most economical option, epoxy mortar the most expensive. HBK measures on site across all eight provinces we serve and quotes free of charge.
With the right system and sound surface preparation, 8–15 years in industrial use. Three factors decide it: the strength of the concrete, the thickness of the coating and the traffic the floor carries.
An area of around 500 m² takes an average of three to four days including surface preparation. The floor takes foot traffic after 24 hours and full mechanical and chemical load after seven days.
Coating for lightly trafficked warehouses and workshops; self-levelling where hygiene matters, as in food and pharmaceutical production; multilayer for wet and slippery areas; antistatic for electronics manufacturing and ATEX zones; epoxy mortar for heavy forklift traffic.
Epoxy where enclosed space, heavy mechanical load and chemical resistance come first; polyurethane for outdoor areas, UV exposure, thermal shock or a slab at risk of cracking. Food plants washed down with hot water use Ucrete polyurethane concrete.
Yes. A fully cured epoxy coating is non-porous and seamless, so it does not let water or liquids through. Moisture rising from BELOW the slab is a different matter and can blister the coating, which is why a moisture reading before application is essential.
If the existing coating is sound and still bonded, the surface is abraded and cleaned and a new system is applied over it. Blistered, lifted or debonded coatings have to be removed completely first.
